We were appointed by Alstom Transport their PR agency of record for Poland. We will be providing the client with strategic communication advice and helping them manage media relations.
On May 30, 2011 the Polish operator PKP Intercity, in charge of long distance passenger transport, awarded Alstom a contract worth €665 million to supply 20 high speed trains, their full maintenance up to 17 years and the construction of a new maintenance depot. The first trains are scheduled for delivery in 2014.
Alstom Transport develops and markets the most complete range of systems, equipment and services in the railway sector. Alstom Transport manages entire transport systems, taking in rolling stock, signalling and infrastructure, and offers “turnkey” solutions. The company is no. 1 in the high and very high speed train sector and keeps investing in high end segments, while developing products suited to the specific needs of the emerging markets.
In fiscal year 2010/2011 Alstom Transport’s sales amounted to €5.6 billon. Alstom Transport is present in over 60 countries and employs some 27,000 people. In Poland, Alstom Transport own Alstom Konstal plant which builds subway trains and new generation trams.
