Together with our client Amrest, we were honoured with this year’s Golden Clip award for the best 2009 Product PR campaign.

The award was given for our project ‘Burger King awards Kamil Durczok for „throwing meat”’. Here, we used a well-known incident when in February 2009 Kamil Durczok, the host of the evening news programme, was caught using bad language (Polish idiom is ‘throwing meat’) in commenting on his untidy table in the studio. The incident was recorded and leaked out to the Web, and we immediately built on it rewarding Kamil with lifelong free invitation to dine and ‘throw meat’ in Burger King restaurants in Poland. The action was widely covered by the media and won admiration from many titles and Web users.

The same project was one of three finalists in the ‘Creativity’ category.

Golden Clip awards are announced annually at the PR congresses in Warsaw. This year’s jury was composed of 40 PR professionals, and the competition was organised by the Polish Association of PR Consultancies.
