In September 2018 SMYK returned to their historical place in the reconstructed CEDET building at 50 Krucza Street. The Solski Communications agency was responsible for the overall concept, implementing communication activities, as well as for organizing “The Great Return to 50 Krucza Street” event. Following the Agency’s original idea, the whole event was organized in the style of the seventies, when SMYK had their origins.
The store opening was accompanied by live music of the period, Polish People’s Republic style snacks with the famous “wuzetka” cocoa cake with cream and orangeade in the leading roles. References to the childhood times could also be found in the design of the scene. The guests could play hopscotch, take a seat on a traditional bench near to the block, and make a selfie at the carpet-hanger to recall the best games of their childhood.
The event was attended by representatives of the SMYK network, journalists, bloggers and celebrities: Paulina Krupińska-Karpiel, Anna Wendzikowska, Karolina Gorczyca, Anna Czartoryska-Niemczycka, Agnieszka Hyży, and Filip Chajzer. The event was conducted by the brand’s friends – Karolina Malinowska and Olivier Janiak.
The Solski Communications agency has been providing comprehensive corporate and product PR consulting and support for SMYK since 2011.
