A personal media workshop is intended for senior officers and managers. Its purpose is to improve the participant’s media communications skills and prepare them to a professional or social media communication by understanding the journalists’ approach and needs, learning how to interact with them, how to deliver the messages, how to detect an attempted manipulation, and how to defend themselves against it. The participant also learns how the media work, and how to use them effectively to propagate their messages.
The workshop training includes several practical exercises, including typically three exercises conducted with a camera. The detailed program is always aligned to the specific trainee’s needs.
The workshop is intended for one trainee, optionally accompanied by ‘a media guard’, such as a communication specialist. The training course typically lasts about four hours.
